There is a significant difference between the Elko Federal Credit Union and  other institutions. We’re nonprofit and wholly owned by our membership.

To become a member of the Elko Federal Credit Union you must live, work, regularly conduct business, worship, attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located or head-quartered in the counties of Lander, Eureka, Elko, Humboldt, Pershing, Churchill, or White Pine in Nevada; and Twin Falls or Owyhee in Idaho. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership or this credit union; employees of this credit union; volunteers in the community; members of their immediate families and households; and organizations of such persons. 

You must open a Share Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $25.00 and a one-time membership fee of $5.00.

Here's how it works:

1) You refer your friends and family to EFCU and have them give us your name when they call or come in.

2) Your referral opens a new EFCU checking account with direct deposit or closes on any new EFCU loan.2

3) We'll deposit $100 into your EFCU savings account and $100 into your referral's new EFCU savings account.

There is no limit on the number of new members you can refer, which means there's no limit on how much you can earn in referral rewards!
